Plush Dice Pendant

Also known as Fuzzy dice, fluffy dice, soft dice, or stuffed dice, the Plush Dice Pendant represents the hope for an outcome and triumph agains the odds. Traditionally displayed as luck charm or gifted as a wish good luck, these have been very popular since the 50’s.

The word around is that the tradition of hanging the dice above the car panel originated from the second word war pilots that would hang dice above their instruments for good luck.

It is speculated that pilots would also chose a particular number to display, depending on what they were hoping for.

Displaying a 1 and a 6, for example, where the one could represent a single pilot going on a mission, on the other hand, the six represent both the best outcome desired while also representing the disproportional forces between a single plane "outnumbered" flying over dangerous territory.

The sum of 7 also happens to be the most common result in dice, so displaying those numbers could also be a statement of the shared desire for success to be the most common outcome of a flight.

In respect of those who fought and died, I will speculate no more, I have no expertise on the matter.

What I can say, though, is that I tied a pair of the Plush Dice Pendant on my hiking/travelling backpack to make it easier to spot and identify the backpack from far away, and it works like a charm.
